KUMIKO: THE JAMAICAN BOMBSHELL

Kumiko Ming (Japanese for “Eternal Beautiful Child”) is a Jamaican-American plus-size fashion model, upcoming designer, and aspiring actress that has been modeling for over 9 years. Born and raised with an island background, this Jamaican Bombshell stands at 5’8” with measurements of 40D-37-50. With piercing oriental eyes, a radiant smile, and curvy physique, Kumiko Ming has surely begun to climb her way to the top. Hoping to create beautiful images for the world to see. Her goal is to show the world that everything beautiful doesn’t only come in a size 0 or 2.

Kumiko started her modeling career appearing as an extra in television and films including Bachelor Party 2 and Burn Notice. She was also a contestant in the Miss Jamaica Florida Pageant in 2005. From time to time Kumiko participates in online modeling competitions in which she is Maddhott.com’s Hott Model October 2008 (the first winner for the competition) and Glamorous Curves’ August 2009 Glamour Girl. Being the first and only plus model to be nominated in 2010 as Best Caribbean Model for the South Florida Caribbean & Dancehall Awards, Kumiko continues to make an impact in the industry. In 2011 she was a finalist in About.com’s Plus-Size Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Plus-Size Model alongside Lane Bryant lingerie model Ashley Graham and Ireland’s leading plus size model Louise O’Reilly.

She has done promotional work to include: the Stunt & Shine Car Show 2009 in Miami and being one of Six Twelve Magazine’s Six Twelve Angels. Kumiko has been featured in NIFTY Magazine, Six Twelve Magazine, Street Fame Magazine and Flava Girl’s 40 Flavas Magazine. She is also a featured model in Rock Alliance’s first music video Style & Swagga.

Kumiko Ming is a spokes model for Coleen Huie’s upcoming women clothing line - J’Allure, Jewelz Inc. Custom Handmade Jewelry by Ebony and ZenVios D Zignz’s upcoming plus-size collection – Healthy Hunks & Hunnies. In addition to modeling Kumiko Ming is an upcoming designer and magazine writer. She has a hair accessory collection – Jah-Ming Custom Hair Accessories and her own column in Atlanta’s very own Six Twelve Magazine – “iSpeakSwag.”
